leksen design

NORDIQUE | Inspired by my Swedish and Norwegian heritage, I created this modern geometric sans serif reminiscent of Scandinavian design and typography. With its tall x-height and thin strokes, Nordique will be best showcased at large sizes, in headlines and other display uses. It contains over 50 ornaments, swashes, alternates and borders to play with—a modern take on the traditional rosemåling and kurbits painting styles. Available for purchase on MyFonts!

BEMIS | I accidentally fell in love with type design, and more specifically, the inscription on the historic Bemis building in Seattle. A high waist and great contrast are characteristics of this classic caps lettering that inspired my debut typeface, with additions of 3/4 caps and ornaments to boot. Candy Cane Lane

CANDY CANE LANE | Candy Cane Lane is a peppermint-striped version of my first release, Bemis, based off of a 1917 inscription on the historic Bemis building in Seattle. The high waist and thick, vertical stems featured in this typeface set the stage for a whimsical—yet classy—holiday version of Bemis. Candy Cane Lane would love to be featured in larger display settings, such as a title or header advertising corporate events, holiday parties or your annual family newsletter. Available for purchase on MyFonts!

CRISTOFORO | I assisted type guru Thomas Phinney in digitally reviving the upper and lowercase letters for the Cristoforo italic—a Victorian Americana classic H.P. Lovecraft typeface.
